What a blustery one! As Storm Amy blew across the south coast, Hamble Ladies 2s took to the pitch to face a very organised Gosport side who currently sit at the top of the table.

Despite the gale-force winds (and a few moments where our passes travelled further sideways than forwards), we held strong and put in a fantastic team performance.

We were holding on well at 2–0 and it looked like that would be the final score, until a great goal from a familiar Gosport face made it 3–0 near the end.

And of course, I managed to keep things interesting by getting my feet involved more than once, which gifted Gosport a few short corner opportunities. Apparently, my football skills need some work too! However, our defence remained solid and forced them to fight for every chance.

As always, we had loads of fun and showed that great Hamble spirit. ??
